Imperial Cities Of Morocco From Casablanca-7 days

Morocco is a country of stunning diversity, from its Atlantic coastlines and snow-capped mountains to its Sahara Desert and vibrant cities. On this 7 days tour from Casablanca, you will experience some of the best that Morocco has to offer, from the blue city of Chefchaouen to the Sahara Desert. We will start our journey from Casablanca. From there, we will travel to Chefchaouen, making short stops at some of Rabat’s most famous monuments along the way. Once in Chefchaouen, you will explore the Medina, an authentic Moroccan market where you can find everything from spices to souvenirs. Finally, there is an overnight stay in a traditional riad.

On the second day of our tour, you will have a free day to explore Chefchaouen, the blue city. The blue-painted alleys and buildings are a sight to behold, and there are many highlights to explore including the Stalk, the Akshour Falls, the Kasbah Ethnographic Museum, and the Utah Lhmam Square. You will also want to explore the Al-Swaiqa District, which is a vibrant and active city center. For the night, we will stay in a traditional Riad, a type of Moroccan guesthouse. This will be a great opportunity to experience some of the local culture and cuisine.

After breakfast at your riad, we will start traveling to Fes via Ouazzan and the Roman site of Volubilis. The journey will take a couple of hours, during which you will have the opportunity to see some of the most well-preserved Roman ruins in Morocco. Volubilis was once a thriving city of the Roman empire, and its wealth is evidenced by the beautiful mosaics which can still be seen there today. After exploring Volubilis, you will continue on to Meknes. Meknes was once the capital of Morocco under Ismaili rule, and it is home to many notable buildings such as the Bab Mansour gate and the Sahrij Souani granary. Following the tour of Meknes, we will finally arrive in Fes, where we will spend the rest of your day exploring this ancient city. Then we continue via highway to Fes. Then there is overnight stay in Fes.

Fes is often referred to as the “spiritual city” of Morocco, and it’s easy to see why. The Medina, or old city, is a labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways, home to a myriad of mosques, madrasas, and other religious sites. T he Al Karaouine Mosque and University is perhaps the most famous of these, as it is the oldest university in the world. Other highlights include the Madrasa Bouanania, the Tanneries, and the Najjarine fountain. After exploring the Medina in the morning, we will have lunch before heading outside the city walls to see the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter (Mellah), and the pottery cooperative. This tour provides a comprehensive introduction to all that Fes has to offer, both culturally and historically. Lastly, an overnight accommodation at the same riad.

After breakfast, we will start traveling south to the Merzouga desert via Midelt and Errachidia. On this 7 days Tour from Casablanca, your first stop will be in Ifrane city, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”. On the way to Merzouga via Midlet and the Ziz Valley, you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas and Higher Atlas mountains. Afterward stopping at the famous cedar forest – the largest one in Morocco – where you will have the opportunity to see the Barbarian apes. So you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the Er Rachidia. The further south you travel, the more pronounced these changes will become until you find yourself in an arid landscape of sand dunes and rocky plateaus. This is the famed Merzouga desert, your final destination on this incredible journey through Morocco. You’ll be greeted by a glass of mint tea and transported on camelback to see the sunset in Morocco’s highest sand dunes. You will then spend your night there, overnight at our well-equipped desert camp where you can enjoy dinner among friends or family before bedtime stories are told around an open fire…

A camel trek through the Erg Chebbi dunes is an unforgettable experience. Your camel guide will wake you up early in the morning to watch the sunrise, and afterward, you’ll trek back to your departure point appreciating the unique beauty of the dunes. Along the way, you’ll meet your driver and leave toward Tinghir and Todra gorges – the highest, narrowest gorges in Morocco. Here you’ll have the opportunity to hike along its valley. The experience is one that you won’t soon forget soon. Then, we will drive through The Dades Valley. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Morocco. The valley is home to a number of sand castles and rock formations, which have been formed over centuries by the wind and water. The most popular attraction in the valley is the Monkey Toes, a group of sandstone pillars that resemble the toes of a monkey. The Dades Valley is also home to a number of riads, which are traditional Moroccan houses that have been converted into hotels. These riads offer visitors a unique experience, as they are often located in the heart of the gorge Lastly, an overnight accommodation in a riad or a hotel.

After breakfast, we’ll hit the road and head towards Kalaat Mgouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is appropriately named the way of thousand Kasbahs, providing plenty of opportunity for you to snap some great photos. We’ll make a stop in Kalaat Mgouna, also known as the “rose city”, where you can buy some rosewater to bring home. Then it’s on to Ouarzazate, nicknamed the “Hollywood of Africa”. This city has served as the backdrop for many famous movies and TV shows. We’ll depart for the Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the largest of its kind in Morocco. This UNESCO world patrimony site is famous for its role as a backdrop in several films, including ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, ‘Gladiator’, and ‘Game Of Thrones’. Our journey will continue through the Tizi ‘n’ Tichka pass (2260 m) over the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll stop to explore the process of making argan oil at the women’s cooperatives. We’ll arrive at our accommodation in Marrakech at the end of the day.
