- The 5 Day Luxury Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech is one of the longest trips we organize because it is rewarded for curious travelers who love to spend more time in each city to explore more and more and discover what makes the cities great. The tour covers a wide variety of areas and monuments such as the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, Skoura palm, valley of roses, Dades gorges, Merzouga, Rissani …, etc. You get the chance to meet some nomads who are living in caves near Todra Gorges, take a camel trek through Sahara desert, sleep in a nomad-tented camp and so many other good activities. Our tours can be modified according to your desires and interests.
Itinerary
Your 5 Day Luxury Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech starts by picking you up from your Hotel/riad in Marrakech. After that, we’ll go to visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou by passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude) via the Atlas Mountains and stop for your lunch break in a local restaurant there. After having fun time, we will continue to Ouarzazate for a fascinating view of Taourirt Kasbah. Then, we will head to Kalaa M’gouna to enjoy Dinner and spend your first night in hotel.
In Kalaa Mgouna, after having breakfast in the hotel, we’ll take the road to the Valley of Roses then cross the off-road with the possibility to visit a kind nomad family living in caves to explore their modest lifestyle. Thereafter, we’ll visit the Dades gorges and see the stunning rock formations that attract a great number of visitors. Later on, we’ll go to Boulmane du Dades which is a town in tinghir and have lunch there. In the afternoon, we’ll head to Todra Gorges to enjoy its wondrous views of Canyons, enjoy Dinner and spend the night in Kasbah hotel.
In the refreshing morning, you’ll have breakfast, take a walk around the Palm Plantations and enjoy the marvelous views of Todra River. Afterwards, we’ll make our way to Tinjedad for a lunch meal in a local restaurant. Then, we will go to Erfoud in order to visit a local fossil craft workshop to continue after that to the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi or Merzouga Dunes where you get the opportunity to ride camels for an hour and half, have a delicious dinner around the campfire and spend an unforgettable night in a traditional nomad tent in the middle of the amazing dunes.
In the Sahara desert, you’ll awake early to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dune and have your breakfast in the camp. To take a shower, you’ll ride your camels back to the hotel. Then, you’ll go to Rissani to explore its souk, proceed to the home of trilobite “Alnif”, go to N’kob for lunch, head toward Agdez and stop for a visit of Kasbah of Tamnaugalt which is situated on the palm groves of Daraa Valley. Later on, we’ll pass through Ait saoun Mountains to reach Ouarzazate for dinner and an overnight stay in a hotel.
On the last day, after breakfast, you’ll have some free time to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and discover the atlas film studios. Then, we’ll proceed to Ait Benhaddou to have lunch in a local restaurant there. After that, we’ll visit the Kasbah of Telouet to make our way later to the red city of Marrakech passing through the mountains of high Atlas. We’ll Drop you off in your accommodation.
